Paris has a very good underground metro train system. It is known as the Métro.

There are 16 Métro lines on which trains travel all day between 5AM and 12:30AM (Saturday night/Sunday morning goes until 1:30AM). Trains usually come 2-3 minutes apart during rush hour and 5-10 minutes apart during other times, depending on the line.


Visitors traveling to and from the Airport that are carrying heavy luggage need to keep in mind that changing metro lines can be difficult at times. Moving from one platform to another involves walking up and down multiple stairs.
